Best of both Worlds: Keagans B20 Civic

When it comes to the Honda scene here in South Africa, its always hard to be different from the rest. Parts are readily available and relatively easy to come by. The 1st time I met Keagan is when I shot his first civic, which that time was a white New Spec and was rolling static with white steelies. It was featured on State Of Stance's website when I still shot for them. Feature of his old Civic can be found here: http://stateofstance.com/2012/05/11/real-steel-part-3-of-3/

Keagan was questioned once on a well known forum, that meaty tyre fitment does not blend well with a stanced out civic. But whats the point then of trying to be different?  Why should one conform to basic/repetitive fitment and look like any other Honda out there and have the same rims like the rest? One thing I can say is bullshit. U build your car for yourself and not for others. Keagan had the balls to pull of yet another nice fitment on this Civic with a set of Rota Grid Classics. With a pretty strange offset, Keagan had to do some customizing to his suspension in order for it to sit in the arch. The rear negative camber was done in order for the wheels to fit under the arch.

The car is fitted with a B20 non vtec engine which is basically stock. What many don't know is with Keagan's car that the rear suspension is setup on coilovers and only the front suspension is on Airlift. I would say that is the best of both worlds.  For the exterior, Keagan fitted a Mugen lip and Type R grille to the front. He kept the beading's on the front bumper as the flushed look has become a bit playd out down in Cape Town with the older spec civic's. Type R rear fin and JDM bumperlight was fitted at the rear, accommodated by a Mugen rear bumper spoiler. He also belong to an stance movement/crew called Capestance, be sure to drop in on their website www.capestance.com for some sick content.  Keagan is already on the lookout for a new project and we hope to see another stylish build that would drop jaws. Until then, enjoy the pics.
