Bagged Mk2 Jetta: A work in Progress

When I mention "work in progress" I literally mean it. This car was spray painted September last year, but did not come out to play with the big stance boys at shows yet, as the owner felt it was due for even more upgrades. After the long wait for the air to be fitted which was like 1 day before the shoot, we decided to head of and hookup with the Outlaw Airwurx crew to check the progress on Padre's Mk2 Jetta. 


This 1990 Cli Jetta being only a rough template of the end result, I was rather amazed how well it was for an incomplete project. This is the 1st bagged Mk2 in Cape Town. Now like many of you would notice the front of the car is not so low yet, that being the air suspension was fitted in order to do more trial and error on the car. With that being said Padre will be looking at a different wheel, respray again with a hint of something to make the color pop more and custom front mount work in order to help Padre's car lay frame. 
If you knew how this car looked before you will be amazed how much really was changed. Padre bought this car 2 years ago after an unfortunate accident with his previous Mk2 CLX Jetta. This car was bought without an engine and was in a really bad condition. Padre invested some TLC on the car, being a spray painter by trade he transformed a bad conditioned shell into something really neat. He used some of his CLX's parts and started building it over to this one. He has fitted a set of Schmidt 15 inch 8J reps with a 195/45/15 Tyre profile. 
Padre has a set of 16v leather seats laying at home waiting to be fitted. One last thing I would like to mention is, that I always laugh how Aziz and Anwar go on with Padre to get his car finished. If it wasn't for them this car would most probably still have been standing without air. Until the next update we hope the working in progress satisfy you for the time being.

  1. How do I get outlaw air worx to sponser me with air for my mk2 jumbo golf and make it the first mk2 golf with air in cape town hehehehe...?
